Ok, we all know how important your website is to your business. However, many people overlook the cornerstone on which their website is built. Your hosting provider is a key component in marketing and promoting your business. In the past, I have used several web hosting providers. I thought that their level of service was standard. On a number of occasions I have had to pay for extra bandwidth which ramped up my hosting costs.
Right now, I use BlueHost. As I mentioned above, previously I have had to upgrade and pay more for increased bandwidth and space. With BlueHost you can rest assured that you have enough bandwidth for mp3, software and video downloads. It’s more than adequate for the needs of most new start-ups. Also, I have a really large number of e-mails that I can use. I only use one per site so I will never use them all. The cherry on top of the cake is that BlueHost gives you a free domain name when you purchase a hosting plan.
The bit I like is the price. It’s reasonable, especially when you consider what you get. There are massive economies of scale in web hosting. As a result, going with one of the big boys like BlueHost makes a lot of sense. Most hosting providers have the same CPanel interface so it comes down to bandwidth and space. Simple Math. However, there is something else that really impresses me about BlueHost.
Although impressive, these are not the main reasons why I find it invaluable to my business. However, I have found that the biggest benefit you get by choosing Bluehost, as your hosting provider, is the inclusion of SimpleScripts. This allows you to easily install WordPress, Joomla, Mambo, Moodle and many other scripts simply and quickly. For a non-techie like myself this is extremely valuable. I don’t have to outsource the installation of a CMS like Joomla or WordPress for my blogs and websites.
All you do, is firstly click the simple scripts icon in the control panel. Then you select the script you want to install on your server. Hey presto. For example with say WordPress or Joomla you get an email with your password and log in address and you are free to work away putting together your site using these CMS tools. Cool huh?
This is immensely powerful for a start-up business like yours. You save thousands of dollars as a result. Also, your website turnaround time greatly improves.
I use WordPress on most of my websites. Using SimpleScripts on my BlueHost account really speeds up the time it takes me to develop a site. In other words, the time and effort required to build a great website is significantly reduced by using BlueHost in conjunction with SimpleScripts.
On top of this, it also has a range of shopping carts and credit card processing services that can be easily integrated.
Ultimately, I have found BlueHost the best hosting provider for entrepreneurs like myself on several fronts.
I have found it very easy to use. It’s also extremely reliable. Because it offers unlimited bandwidth and unlimited file space you are more than covered for any spikes in early stage traction. For these reasons I can wholeheartedly recommend BlueHost to new start-up entrepreneurs. I use it and will continue using it for the foreseeable future. Definitely check out their site.
